 Town of Collierville Veterans Celebration

Join us for a free, family event to honor all Mid-South Veterans and the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor. Program will feature the 2017 Miss Collierville, the Collierville Middle School Orchestra and Band, the Marine Corps League, the Boy Scouts, the Girl Scouts, and much more. Hosted by the Town of Collierville and Forever Young Senior Veterans

Senior Adult Activities




Monday - Wednesday - Friday : 9:15 am to 10:00 a.m.
Collierville Community Center Gymnasium


 Instructor, Sara Holland, will lead group in a daily exercise routine that consist of stretching, toning, hand-weights, dyna-bands, balance exercises and more!  Group usually arrives early to walk (warm-up) before class starts and some walk after class as well. 

Senior 55+ Walking time in Gym/track is available M-F from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday, 12 noon - 6 p.m. for Collierville Residents (free).  

 Exercise Punch Cards: $10 (you receive 12 visits).  Please purchase card at Parks Administration Office prior to class start time.  Please arrive before class starts at 9:30 a.m. to have your card punched by Instructor; participants will also need to sign-in each day at table provided in the gym before participanting in class. Information contact Lisa Gaither at 457-2775.

Note: Feb. 16th bring a paper product/or craft items to donate to the Page Robbins Adult Day Care! We do this every year for Valentine's Day!
         May 17th everyone bring a $1 - $2 prize (new item) wrapped in newspaper or brown bag for Bingo Prize!

BROWN BAG BINGO (program started in February 2014)

  Note: No Brown Bag Bingo will be held in July 2016.  Fall Schedule will start in August 2016.

This Bingo held the 4th Tuesday of the month from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Lunch:  Everyone brings their own sack lunch/drink/snack. Fee:  Players must bring a $1 bingo prize for the prize box (it has to be an item - no money).
Players will get 2 bingo cards for play
Location: Collierville Community Center Gym .....440 W. Powell Road
Sign-up one week in advance for the event by calling 457-2770 to get our name on the list.
I must have a minimum of 15 to hold event.

Senior Lunch n' Learn Series

2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Bring a sack lunch; drink and dessert provided at event. 
Visit for additional information.

Lunch n' Learn is an educational and social program that brings artists, authors, and historians to the Museum for discussions over lunch.
Programs are free and all materials are included.

Senior Safari Day at Memphis Zoo/Lunch at Arcade Downtown/Downtown Historical Tour - October 5, 2016
Depart from Collierville Community Center at 8:15 a.m. to Zoo, then to lunch (dutch treat) @ 11:30 a.m., and then meet
Shelby County Historian Jimmy Ogle for a historical tour.  Return home around 4 p.m.
Fee: $15.00 (based on 20 passengers); register by September 19th (reservations have to be confirmed)
Zoo and Historical Tour are free!   A few spaces remain on this tour - call for availability!

Cornith MS Civil War Interpretive Center/Battery/Lunch at Borroum's Drug Store - November 8, 2016
Depart from Collierville Community Center at 7:00 a.m. for the Civil War Interpretitive Center/Battery, brief stop at the National Cemetery, lunch in the Historical Downtown area (Borroum's- famous burger and milkshakes- other places to eat as well), some free time to tour shops, historical hardware store and Art Gallery downtown. Afternoon tour the Historic Cornith Depot/Crossroads Museum then home @ 5 p.m.
Fee: $30.00 (based on 35 passengers) (Lunch on your own); Register by October 13th due to bus reservations

Highlights: Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, London Theatre Performance, Eurostar Train, Seine River Cruise, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower Dinner, & Paradis Latin.

Our travel group had a great time touring London and Paris. Some of our amazing adventures along the tour: The London Eye, The Louvre, the Eurostar train, Underground Trains, lots of fun converting money into Pounds and Euro's, and learning how to cross the streets!

Group spent the day touring the Black Forest in Germany with a stop at the Coo-Coo Clock Shop for shopping and a serving of Black Forest Cake!

Vacation Highlights: This two week river cruise has it all, Amsterdam's enchanting canals, the very best of historic Germany, Luxembourg, France and picturesque Switzerland!  Very beautiful country and lots of breath taking scenery!!!
