APPLICATION FOR COLLIERVILLE ARTS COUNCIL SCHOLARSHIP

The Collierville Arts Council will offer a $1000 scholarship to one applicant in each of the following disciplines: vocal, instrumental, dance, theatrical performance, and technical production.� The following criteria will be used:

1. The applicant must be a senior.

2. The applicant must be a resident of Collierville.

3. The applicant must have an average GPA of 3.0 or above.

4. The applicant must submit a video or portfolio and transcript with the written application.

5. The $1000 award must be used at an institution of higher learning. �The applicant must either

major or minor in the discipline for which the award will be given.

6. An applicant may apply for multiple scholarships.

7. The $1000 check will be made out to the institution of higher learning.

8. The application, video, and transcript must be turned into the Harrell Performing Arts Theatre by

April 25, 2003.

9. If no applicant meets the above criteria, no award will be given.

Once an applicant reaches the preliminaries, the judging will be as follows:

60% performance or portfolio

20% involvement in the arts

20% transcript

Once an applicant reaches the finals, the judging will be as follows:

40% performance or portfolio

30% interview (10 minutes)

15% involvement in the arts

15% transcript
