Note: No refunds after the first class. �NEW FAMILY TIME� Musical program for children/parents offered at the Collierville Community Center. Kindermusik Village � stimulates your baby's growth through purposeful, engaging musical activities while celebrating and nurturing the remarkable bond you share. In Kindermusik Our Time �, "Exploration Time" facilitates the discovery of instruments, textures, sounds, and movement. Language skills are fostered with singing and vocal play. Creative dancing to different musical "moods" affirms the urge to move. The anticipation and rewards of listening are introduced, and with turn-taking activities, social skills blossom. KINDERMUSICK IMAGINE THAT! Between the ages of 3 1/2 to 5 years of age, a lot of developmental changes occur in your child. This is an all-important transition. At this age, the use of music is used to encourage early learning and creativity. Music is the means, not the goal. The goal is a more alive, creative, and able child. Session: February 2 � May 18, 2006 SIGN AND SING CLASSES (6 months � 3 yrs) Sign language curriculum for parents with hearing children ~ A different approach from other sign language programs. Through songs, toys, and loving playtime between you and your child, Kindermusik Sign & Sing shows you more than 50 signs your child can use to communicate with you. Using research-proven methods shown to speed language development in hearing children, you'll see how sign language can ease frustration and enhance long-term learning abilities for your child. YOUNG REMBRANDTS ELEMENTARY DRAWING PROGRAM Young Rembrandts Children's Drawing Program for ages 6 � 10 years combines a unique step-by-step method of teaching children how to draw while instilling life-long skills that lead to a child's overall personal success. Drawing is a learnable skill, therefore, each child, especially those with an interest in art, deserves the chance to be taught, just as they would be taught to read, write, add or subtract. Stuff and Fluff Animal WorkshopsChildren will enjoy a Saturday morning with Noah�s Ark Workshops creating a friend to take home to love. Workshop will consist of hand stuffing a Moose or a Bunny, next you will �wish upon� and insert a rainbow star and zip it closed. You will then name your new friend, create a customized birth certificate, dress them in a T-Shirt, and color a �Take Home Bag�. Children will be read a story and a light snack will be served for the occasion.

SUMMER DAY CAMP 2006
Children ages 5 to 11 years (must have completed Kindergarten) can participate in fun-filled recreational games, arts and crafts, and special activities at H.W. Cox Park/Community Center. Field trips include skating/bowling, Memphis Zoo, Pink Palace, Movie Theatre and more! Counselor/child ratio~ 1:12. Camp enrollment limited to 85 per session.
Camp Registration: February 27th- April 28th!
Community Center hours
are Monday � Friday 8 a.m. � 5 p.m. Applicants can pick-up a camp registration form/program schedule at the Collierville Community Center beginning February 27. Registration is based on a first come/first serve with paid registration. A deposit of $75 (non-refundable) per session required to hold camp reservations. Balance of fees due by May 19 for session one and June 19 for session 2. Weekly fees due in full to register by May 19 (limited spots per week). An additional fee of $25 per week /or per session will be charged after the registration deadline of May 19 and June 19. All paperwork and payments need to be brought to the Community Center. |
