Administration
The Collierville Parks, Recreation, & Cultural Arts Department believes that a park system should create a feeling of pride, a sense of value, a picture of beauty, a sense of belonging, and the challenge of developing skills and abilities while providing the opportunity to grow. To accomplish this goal, the Department delivers to the Citizens of Collierville a variety of well organized, supervised, and maintained recreation programs, opportunities, and facilities for leisure enjoyment.
This past year will be labeled a year of growth and preparation for the future as our department completed Phase I of the Nonconnah Regional Greenbelt Trail, expanded the boardwalk at the Peterson Lake Nature Center to the Wolf River, and constructed a Universal Playground at WC Johnson Park designed for children with special needs.
Emphasis within the immediate future will focus on the expansion of our tennis facilities at HW Cox Park and Estanaula Park, continued expansion of the Collierville Greenbelt System, and developing a Comprehensive Park Master Plan for the Hinton Park.
The Collierville Parks, Recreation, & Cultural Arts Department is extremely proud of our accomplishments this past year and anticipate with eagerness the challenges that await us in providing the recreational opportunities that best serve the Citizens of Collierville.
