Town Beautiful Commission

PURPOSE/DUTIES/AUTHORITY OF BOARD: To enhance & maintain the natural & man-made
beauty of this community & to advise the Board of Mayor & Alderman on matters affecting
the aesthetic & natural beauty within the community.

The current by-laws of the Town Beautiful Commission provides for up to 15 active members. The
term of appointments shall be for 1 year, ending December 31 of each calendar year. (Ordinance
99-29). Members must be residents of the Town or business leaders in Collierville. Town Beautiful
elects its own Chairman.

The Board of Alderman, jointly with the Mayor, has appointment authority for the Town Beautiful
Commission.

Note: meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at 440 W. Powell Road.
